Complete
your details in the fields as requested. (Note: Please use
your email address and name)
Then Click Register
If all
went well the web site will indicate that the registration
was successful. Now go check your email inbox. You will receive
an email which contains an activation link.
You
must click the confirmation link in the email in order to
activate your registration.
After you clicked the activation link you will get the following
message:
Success!
You are now validated and may access your member area.
Click here to continue. “
Do exactly as you were told and click on the link to continue.
You will now be taken to a login page. You should be logged
in automatically after you verified your link. If not login
at the login page as shown below.
Click the login link
Enter your details and click “Log In”
Now you can place new ads. Do that by clicking the “Place
new ad” link on the left.
Click the “new ad” link
Select a category . You can use either one
of the two methods, the drop down box or the list. I prefer
the list option.
To
select a category in the list option you must click
the + sign next to category where you want to place the ad.
Then select the sub category by clicking on the it. For example
if you want to place an ad for a "car for sale"
Then click the plus sign next to "vehicles"
then the plus sign next to "cars for sale" and then
click on the name of the type of vehicle you would like to
advertise.
A page
will open where you can enter the details of the ad.
Fill in a subject. The subject must be a catchy header which
will attract the attention of the reader. Then select the
“region”, you have to select South Africa and
after selecting South African another field will open where
you can select the relevant province.
If
you are revering to another web sites in your ad you need
to enter a URL in your ad. To do this you must type
your ad's body content. Then select the text you would like
to add a URL (or hyperlink) to. You will note that the moment
you select the text the hyperlink icon will become active.
(See picture below) After you selected the text you press
the hyperlink icon. A small window will now pop up. Make sure
your pop-up blocker does not prevent it from doing so.
In the
pop-up window now add the details of the URL. At the middle
field it is best to choose the "new window" option.
When you click insert the window will automatically close
and insert the link in your text.
Now select
fill in the price if applicable and select the time you would
like the add to run. Then click register.
After
your clicked the register button your ad will be registered
and active. You will now be routed to a page where you can
select to upload an image if you want to. You do not have
to upload an image, but I find that visitors tend to read
ads with photos more than those without.
Click
the “Upload Picture” as shown below:
Click the “browse” button”
and go look for the picture on YOUR computer.
When you find the file select it and then click the
“Upload button” next to the browse button.
Once uploaded the system will report that the file has been
uploaded. It will show that you uploaded 1 file and that you
are allowed 5 per ad. Now click the “Finish
ad” button at the bottom.
Your
ad will now be complete.
To see
a list of your ads you can click on the “edit ad(s)”
link on the left (as shown below). A list of all your ads
will be displayed. Next to the ad are 4 pictures. You can
click the pictures for the following functions: From left
to right – 1 - edit ad, 2 - upload picture, 3 - upload
document 4 – product has been sold and then 5 - to delete
the ad.
